Salary from £30,000 - £35,000 DOE + Benefits
CV Screen is delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant on behalf of a well-established and growing commercial business, based at its modern head office in Nottingham. Paying from £30,000 plus an excellent benefits package, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, ambitious finance team working to a structured month-end timetable. Our client offers ongoing training and clear progression for someone keen to develop their accounting career. The role is full-time, permanent and office based, Monday to Friday.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supporting month end, including cashbook postings and bank and balance sheet reconciliations across several group companies
- Managing stock and expense accounts, company credit cards and related transactions
- Helping the purchase ledger team with supplier statement reconciliations, ledger clean-up and intercompany journals
- Supporting payroll and providing holiday cover across payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Helping roll out new system features and improve finance processes
What Experience is Required
- Solid accounting knowledge, including double entry, gained in a busy, high-volume accounts environment
- Advanced Excel skills; Microsoft Dynamics GP or Business Central experience is a bonus
- Excellent organisation and a proactive, flexible attitude
- AAT qualification desirable
Salary & Benefits
From £30,000 per annum, plus 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a holiday sell-back scheme, company pension, enhanced maternity and paternity pay, death in service cover, sick pay, and ongoing training with clear progression.
Location
Nottingham – an easy commute from Beeston, West Bridgford, Arnold, Carlton, Hucknall, Long Eaton and Ilkeston.
